Reform the Federal Judiciary

We the people petition the Congress of the United States to take action to immediately reform and reorganize the federal judiciary. Federal courts must not be partisan in nature. Congress must take action to reform the laws, rules and regulations to ensure that no Federal Judge takes any action outside their jurisdiction; that any judge who knowingly and obviously acts in a partisan manner is immediately removed from the bench using a method that is more streamlined and avoids any kind of political bias; and that no federal judge or court ever accepts any case or issue outside their jurisdiction without immediate consequence. Next, congress must no longer make lifetime appointments to the federal bench. Judicial appointments must not exceed 10 years maximum and no judge can be reappointed more than one term. Congress must set a MANDATORY retirement age for federal judges at age 70 with no exceptions, regardless where the judge may be in his or her appointment cycle. Congress must reinvigorate the Judicial committee in both the senate and the House and these committees must review and audit the actions, decisions, ethics, cases accepted and behavior of each court snd individual judges and shall take punitive action against the judges where appropriate. Congress must establish a reporting system to provide a report card to the people that is published in the month before any federal election. Congress shall develop a process to review and improve the legislation developed to reform the courts, and the result of this process shall be published in the quarter prior to each federal election.
