Summary:

Public schools need to implement emotional regulation classes to students who are having difficulties in their current learning settings. Every student is not the same learner, and every student has a unique life, and the problematic ways of handling disciplinarian actions is failing or children and setting them up for the justice system and not as successful individuals.

Emotional Regulation Practices in Public Schools

The need for implementation of emotional regulation in schools is at an all-time high. Teachers and administrators are not providing a place of cognitive development only preparation for test. Students are getting left behind and kicked out of school for incidences that pose as an opportunity to teach and learn. Students are in crucial times as they learn to navigate the world around them as well as learning about themselves. Public schools must provide more opportunity to education than to the white-washed agenda it currently serves.
